About Robert James (Jim) Challenger
Artist and Author

Robert James (Jim) Challenger has spent his life near the rugged Pacific coast. His love of the natural world, together with his appreciation for First Nations art and storytelling, inspired Jim to create his own collection of northwest coast fables and original artwork. Jim's unique stone and glass carvings are enjoyed by collectors the world over. His best-selling Heritage House book series includes, "Eagle's Reflection and Other Northwest Coast Stories", and "Orca's Family and More Northwest Coast Stories". They combine echoes of Aesop with the oral traditions of native North American storytellers, as they entertain and educate families with well crafted stories that promote cultural values and respect among all generations.
